Hey, I am Swetlana! I am a 27 year old German and one of two authors on this blog, it’s nice to meet you!
If I had to introduce myself in as few words as possible, I would go with: Shadowhunters Trash, Hamilton Addict, Book Lover and TV Show Enthusiast. I’ve actually had this as my describtion on both Twitter and my personal Instagram account for a couple of months now and it’s definitely the easiest way to describe me. Well, it is missing my love of music. I constantly have music playing – I don’t like the silence!
I have been reading for many, many years now and reading in English for about five years, I think. My English teacher would be surprised to see me read in English only – I used to never read the books we were supposed to in class. Don’t ask how I got through my final exam in English without having read a majority of the books I had to. And that exam was my best one (I got an A-!) out of the five I had to take!
Writing has always been one of the things I loved to do (I used to have a blog about a decade ago that I used as a journal) and in my teenage years I would actually write stories and participate in NaNoWriMo! I once finished an entire story and I was so proud of myself for achieving that. It wasn’t good or even close to it, but I wrote it start to finish!
This blog is my way of combining two of the things I really love to do and share my thoughts on books with you guys. It’s also a fun way to get involved in the community and meet more people who feel the same way as me about something.
My sister suggested I start a booktube channel when we talked about books and the book community the last time, but I cannot stand to hear my voice once it’s been recorded – writing is where I feel the most comfortable. If you’ve read a couple of the posts I’ve published on this website, you might find that I tend to ramble quite often – I can’t help myself! And this is just further proof of that fact!
I hope this helped you get to know me better! If there is anything else you would like to ask or know, please feel free to ask!
